Engine 62-1

Engine 62-1 is a 2019 Pierce Enforcer, all-wheel drive pumper.  It has a Hale HSD 1500 gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank.  Engine 1 responds first to all vehicle accidents, rescue calls and brush/woods fires in our primary response area.

Engine 62-2

Engine 62-2 is a 2009 Pierce Arrow XT Engine/Tanker.  This unit serves as our main fire suppression unit and responds first to all structure fires, vehicle fires and automatic fire alarms in our primary response area.

Tanker 62

Tanker 62 is a 1994 Peterbilt/New Lexington tanker.  It has a 1,750 gpm Darley pump and a 3,000-gallon water tank.  This piece is designed to function in a tanker shuttle and also work as a nurse tanker utilizing a single or dual port-a-tank setup.  Tanker 62 responds first to all tanker assist calls, second on brush fires and third to all structure fires in our primary response area.

Squad 62-1

Squad 62-1 is a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 Heavy Duty truck.  Squad 1 serves as a fireground support and manpower transport unit.  This unit responds first on all cardiac arrest and medical assist calls.  The squad responds second on vehicle accidents, spill control and rescue calls.

Squad 62-2

Squad 62-2 is a 1997 Freightliner/Emergency-One vehicle that previously served as an ambulance in Connecticut.  Squad 2 serves as a traffic control and manpower transport unit.  This unit responds first-due to traffic control calls and other times when specifically requested.

Witmer Fire has answered a couple alarms in the last week due to Carbon Monoxide (CO). Even though we are leaving the winter months, it does not mean that CO cannot be present. Please make sure any gas (LP or Natural Gas) appliance is properly vented to the OUTSIDE. Make sure all vent connections have tight seals. A specialist (plumber of HVAC tech) can inspect your units. Please have CO meters in your house. CO is an odorless, colorless gas formed by the incomplete combustion of fuels.
