Engine 62-2 is a 2009 Pierce Arrow XT Engine/Tanker. This unit serves as our main fire suppression unit and responds first due to all structure fires, vehicle fires and automatic fire alarms in our primary response area and on mutual-aid responses.
Tanker 62 is a 1994 Peterbilt/New Lexington Tanker. It has a 1,750 GPM Darley pump and a 3,000-gallon water tank. This piece is designed to operate in a tanker shuttle and also to serve as a nurse tanker utilizing a single or dual port-a-tank setup. This piece responds first due to all tanker assist calls and third due to all structure fires in our primary response area.
Engine 62-1 is a 1998 HME/New Lexington All-Wheel Drive Engine. It has a 2,000 GPM Darley pump and a 600-gallon water tank. It carries 20 gallons of AFFF in a cell inside the main tank. This piece is our main vehicle accident piece and responds first due to all vehicle accidents, rescue calls and brush/woods fires in our primary response area.
Squad 62-1 is a 1997 Freightliner/Emergency-One vehicle that previously served as an ambulance. This unit serves as a manpower transport unit, vehicle-accident support and traffic control unit. This unit responds first-due to traffic control calls, second-due to vehicle accidents and at other times when specifically requested by the Incident Commander.
