Squad 62-2 is a 1997 Freightliner/Emergency-One vehicle that previously served as an ambulance in Connecticut. Squad 2 serves as a traffic control unit and for manpower transport. This unit responds first-due to traffic control calls and other times when specifically requested. Some of its main features include:
- Seating for six firefighters
- Large quantity of traffic control equipment, including cones, barricades, vests, flashlights and detour signs
- Refrigerator for bottled water
- Dry chemical, Class D and Pressurized Water extinguishers
- Large quantity of absorbent
